Japanese People have this Thing to cars that they live with cars as their soulmates, I must say im also a fan of JDM, they are just perfect. JDM Is not only spread in japan but it's a allrounder, throughout the world people know it, JDM's official page on Facebook has more than 5 million Likes, it's just perfect. Japanese people made everything possible for car lovers, until the 1900's people only knew about fast cars, thrilling races. But Kunimitsu Takashi made it all turn upside down. He from Japan invented Drifting, i was lately watching his life experiences video, and in that Auto-biography " Meeting the DK " he said that First when he started Drifting People thought he is a maniac, nothing else. But as soon as he mastered it, he started giving lessons to people who loved drifting and they saw it as a passion, they started drifting on edges of Mountains. And soon Drifting spread through America plus Japan, China, people loved it, they thought that it was a sport. At the other hand JDM rose at its peak, with thousands of cars equipped with JDM Parts. Japanese Automobile Manufacturer Nissan supported both Drifting and JDM. They knew that JDM equips new parts of engineering and removes the stock parts they give when the car is sold, but they still continued to support them, and today more than a million cars are on the drifting roads made by Nissan. JDM is well known im America too, the lust of cars for the young generation is lesser than the lust of JDM Cars, well i must say, those Stanced tyres,dropped Cars, black Tints, big silencers are simply perfect and i too want a car equiped by JDM. The famous saying " Eat Sleep Drift Repeat " was also invented when people got crazy for drifting. The real backstory is that Keichi tschiya was inspired by kunimitsu Takashi, who was later also known as the DRIFT KING. Lets go back to some of the history now. Kechi tsuchiya always had this dream that his sensation would make the world go crazy, so he worked on it, before starting any events he firstly mastered Drifting by his inspiration Kunimitsu Takashi, in the 1960's the First official video known as the Pluspy was Produced, it was about the drifting basics of keichi tsuchiya, it was produced through popular magazines and tuning garages. One of their popular Advertisers, Option Magazines Founder and Cheif editor Dejiro Inada set up the first Grand prix know as the " D1 grand Prix " and soon drifting became a world wide sensation. The mostly used and cars made for drifting are/were Nissan 180SX, Nissan Silvia S15, toyota Renin, Mazda Rx-7, nissan Skyline, suburu impreza and toyota Alteza.
But as i have seen some videos of the cars drifting, my favourite was Nissan Silvia S15. JDM AND keichi Tsuchiya were at there top, they were attracted so much socially that Films such as Fast and furious: Tokyo Drift were made on these. Drifting was now made an official sport in Japan. Now drifting came into media,many movies were made,inspired by drifting like Tokyo drift. These movies helped spread drifting as a sport in the whole world.Now the drifting compitions had the media coverage this played a very big role in spreading drifting sport. Now many companies sponsored drifting compitions. Then video games were made on drifting which were sold almost all over the world. These video games contained official drifting techniques. Now special drifting cars were introduced with special engines and tyres these cars had special E-brakes designed for drifting. And special garages were made which tuned cars for drifting.Drifting was now a passion not only in Japan but in the whole world. New drifting techniques came into work, new drifters came who were to be drifting stars in the future. Now drifters were sponsored by different companies which supported their car expenses and tuning they even provided drifters with new cars. Drifting was not only in adults but teenagers were also into drifting they also supported drifting. Teenagers started drifting the streets and the street level compitions held in Japan too. Now gymkhanas were specially made for drifting all over the world. Neat tracks were made and they were cleaned and modified. Japanese drifters went to international drifting compitions and showed their drifting skill. Now drifting schools were made teenagers were trained for drifting.Japan and Cars.
