Difference between Wi-Fi and Li-Fi

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi means "Wireless Fidelity,Wire-less internet"and is also known as 802.11.This is a facility which allow pc,smartphone or other devices to stay tuned to social-media or connect to one another wirelessly,the best thing is that it is compatible with every device.It uses radio-waves which are not faster as compare to light-rays therefore we can,t connect web if we are out of  

radar and farther away we are from router the weak the signals are. Printers and Scanners also uses this source  to connect to the computer.This is the wide network used now a days because it is fully developed and spread all across the world. Need is the mother of invention and soon new invention took place which is about to change the world soon(more information below)!This way of browsing is very expensive if you are using it on high level such in offices,it can cost up to two thousand dollars per month.There should be a wireless adapter in a particular area,connected with a wire from ISP,to enable browsing in that area.This unique  network can transmit data at a frequency level of  2.4 GHz-5 GHz equal to 11-54 megabits per second,This new way of web source is less secure,it is easy for hackers to hack and it is said that never do online banking on public networks because it,s not safe.One interesting fact about it is that if the connection we are using is not up to the mark,we can purchase signal repeater which speed up our net.We can use hot spot which could be used to get protected password easily.

Previously calling rate were expensive for a middle-class person to afford,soon software which allow online collaboration were invented,which made calling easy for a poor person because it was free to use and it just require network-setup for appliance.This creation was a great leap forward.

  

 Wire-less internet was invented by this beautiful girl name Hady Lamarr,who was a Hollywood star but she was not famous as  others were.She was talented and give birth to this creation.The first version of it was introduced in 1991 and Australian started labeling it as their invention. 

Li-Fi

Imagine you are standing under a street lamp or standing with any light appliance and using internet or downloading movies.There is a new technology which uses light to enable access of www  i.e Li-Fi. It is a wireless networking way that uses LEDs for data transmission.It is designed to use LED bulbs which is outfitted with a chip.Radio waves are replaced by light wave as we know that they are fastest thing in the universe and is far more dense than radio wave so it will allow to browse faster than before.Not just 3X or 4X but 250X faster than the average rate of internet speed these days.This source of networking is attracting a huge sum of people towards it because of its speed and a new way of internet access.It is safe and good for computer to use but connection on a mobile device will not be reliable comparing to wi-fi. Incidence ray is the best word to describe Li-Fi,this means that it can be read by a receiver.

This type of network can be safely used in flights which is a great advantage for the people who travel far off from their country and their journey take more than 3 to 4  days,they can easily get in-touch with their family.This technology offer more secure connection for the intelligence agencies.It,s cheap comparatively to Wi-Fi because it does not require any license and uses light and use point to point network topology.Its operating frequency is more than hundreds of Tera HZ.
We can download a movie in a blink of an eye.I can not believe  that what will happen after few decade will we be able to download whole wikipedia or whole google in a sec or not.

Li-Fi was invented by Harald Haas from the university of Edinburgh in Scotland back in 2011.He first time demonstrated that a single LED can transmit data more than the cellular tower.This idea was introduced on TED global talk.A company named Velmenni is currently working on this project they are carrying out few jobs within various part of world to employ VLC technology and to spread this telecommunication all over the planet.
